New York
Well, we arrived in New York last Saturday, January 7th. We rented a Dodge Durango, with Kaan's parents, and were out to Long Island. We spent Sunday in Manhattan, Kaan driving us around mostly. We went up in the Empire State Building and saw some of Times Square at night before heading back out to Long Island. It's about a 45 minute drive and constant city. Long Island is really amazing. We found Kaan's sister an apartment on Monday, cleaned and went furniture shopping on Tuesday. Wednesday was spent resting and Thursday we went shopping. We bought a lot of baby stuff: stroller/car seat, bassinette, swing, bouncer. These are all hard to find and expensive in Turkey so we got them taken care of here and now will just check in the boxes with our luggage. Will let you know about Florida in a few days!

It sounds like you're having lots of fun traveling and seeing the city. I've been meaning to tell you, we are planning to be in Europe this summer for the World Cup. We'll spend a week in Germany, hopefully seeing some games. We're trying to get tickets but it's not very easy. We haven't decided what we'll be doing for the second week. It sure would be nice to see you but I don't know if we'll be very close. It would be fun to see the both of you, especially since you'll be pretty far along in your pregnancy.
Glad to see you had a good time in NY. I hope you are enjoying Florida. Please let me know if you receive my package. I hope it arrives before you leave! take care and enjoy your family!!!
