Adjusting
We've made it through our first week! While adjusting is hard, it seems to be coming along. Some nights we sleep, others we don't, but that is life with a newborn. We are also trying to adjust to getting a baby ready when we have to leave the house. Yesterday we had to go to Adana (an hour away) to have a check-up with my doctor (I had my stitches removed) and a check-up with Ilkan's doctor. We were up at 9 or so and didn't get out of the house until 11:30. At least we were on time to our appointments. Ilkan is doing great. He gained 200 grams in 4 days (he is nursing like crazy), and had to have some blood drawn for routine blood tests. We were thankful that we had to go to the clinic in the hospital where he was born to have the blood drawn because a neonatal nurse came down to take the blood, they do it from the arm here, and she got it on the first try. Not much else to post. I'll keep posting pictures as we are taking a lot.
